Established in 1974, Griffith College’s main campus is based on Dublin’s South Circular Road on a seven-acre historic site formerly known as Griffith Barracks. Griffith College also has campuses on Wolfe Tone Street, Dublin; Wellington Road, Cork and O’Connell Avenue, Limerick. The college has an annual learner population in excess of 6,000 and provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes validated by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).

The Faculty of Journalism and Media Communications was founded in 1996 and has grown significantly and adapted dynamically to rapid changes in media technologies and industry employment practices. The faculty now provides a wide range of QQI validated programmes in media education, offering three MA programmes and three postgraduate diploma programmes, as well as BA programmes in Communications and Media Production (HONS), Communications, Film and Television Production, Photographic Media and a Certificate in Photography.
