The School of Journalism in Zwolle is one of the four journalism schools in The Netherlands. The journalism department is part of Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, a broad-based institution for higher education. The university forms a community in which active, expert people meet.
Important (research) issues are:
- How could journalism engage audiences in an increasingly complex world?
- How could journalism attract millennials when there’s so much that screams for their attention?
- How can journalism restore trust between journalists and the public?
Windesheim University tries to challenge the students to develop into responsible, principled, valuable and self-assured professionals who possess socially relevant knowledge and competences and wish to perform on a higher professional level.
